The Brief.

Script & create a hype piece to celebrate and build anticipation for Scotland’s first appearance at a major tournament in 23 years. The promo was to be aired as an audio spot across Bauer’s portfolio of radio brands and as an animated film across branded Bauer social channels.

The Insight.

Scotland’s men’s national side last appeared at a major tournament in 1998. For many young Scottish people, this was the first experience of Scotland at a major Finals.

The Work.

We decided to pick up from where we left off in the playoffs and create an evolving narrative between the two hype pieces. A remixed version of ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ was recorded in-house to compliment the new copy. The audio spot aired on Radio Clyde, Radio Forth, Radio Borders, Tay FM, West FM, Northsound, MFR & Greatest Hits Radio - and the animated social film again reached over 1m views across Bauer’s branded social platforms.
